Hi, nice to meet you!

What does it mean to be human? Are we all unique, all alike, or none of the above? These are some of the questions propelling us into this adventure, a journey where we aim to explore what binds us, what sets us apart, and what defines us as human beings. A celebration of diversity unfolds on this expedition, not only ours but a collective voyage to discover the essence of all, the human essence.

Meet us, Diogo and Sara, two young individuals who believe that within each person lies a universe waiting to be discovered. Both 25 years old, our paths crossed when they were classmates at the age of 10.

Sara was born between two cultures with a Portuguese father and a German mother. She has savored differences from a young age, leading her on a quest for equal opportunities. Pursuing this through her psychology studies and various projects and volunteer work, she embraces a diverse range of interests, particularly her deep connection to music, having learned to read notes before letters.

On the other hand, Diogo is someone who appreciates everything, from the most complex to the smallest details. An insatiable curious mind, when he's not delving into understanding how the world and people function, he spends his time singing or surrounded by people. As a forensic psychologist, he seeks to not only learn new things but also share them with others through teaching and research activities.

As psychologists who often traverse through the stories of others, on this journey, we seek to live and feel other realities. The plan is to interact with different communities, including urban and rural populations, Buddhist monks, indigenous tribes, and refugees.

For this purpose, we've selected a series of cultural and human experiences,  across various areas and communities in Southeast Asia (5 months).  Additionally, we've chosen an extended stop at the Lesbos Refugee Camp (3 months), a bit closer to home but in a position that aligns with our humanitarian and multicultural objectives.

Join us while we embark on a journey to encourage personal and collective reflection through the exploration of complex issues and human connections.
